Sage The Bambino Espresso Machine
Sage Bambino — Serious Espresso in a Small Footprint
If you want proper café-quality espresso at home without giving up half your worktop or half your savings, the Sage Bambino is where most conversations end. It takes the core engineering from Sage's bigger machines — the 54mm portafilter, the 9-bar Italian pump, digital PID temperature control — and packs it into a machine barely 20cm wide, at a price that leaves room in the budget for a decent grinder.
Three seconds from off to espresso
Sage's ThermoJet heating system reaches extraction temperature in about 3 seconds. No ten-minute warm-up ritual: walk into the kitchen, press a button, pull a shot. For busy mornings, that speed genuinely changes how often the machine gets used.
What makes the shots good
- Full 19g dose, 54mm portafilter — the same dose a café uses, for full-bodied, complex shots rather than the weak pours smaller pod machines produce
- Digital PID temperature control — water hits the coffee at the right temperature every time, the single biggest factor in consistent espresso
- Low-pressure pre-infusion — gently saturates the puck before ramping to 9 bar, for even extraction and balanced flavour
- Manual steam wand — powerful enough for real microfoam and latte art practice, not just warm milk
Everything included to start pulling shots
In the box: stainless steel milk jug, 54mm tamper, single and dual wall filter baskets (1 & 2 cup), water filter, and cleaning tools. Add fresh beans and a grinder — we'd suggest the Sage Smart Grinder Pro or a Comandante C40 — and you have a complete home café.
